PPIE Manager
Issy is the Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Manager at the Rare Respiratory Disease Centre, where she works to embed inclusive, people-centred approaches throughout research. She is passionate about ensuring patients, families, and communities are genuine partners in shaping health research.
Issy has worked across academic, pharmaceutical and healthcare research, and holds a PhD in Genetics from the University of Edinburgh. Her PPIE expertise spans regional and national initiatives – from driving involvement and engagement at the Children’s Hospital Alliance to supporting inclusive research through Vocal, a not-for-profit organisation in Greater Manchester. Her work focuses on equity, trust, collaboration and creativity.
Outside work, Issy enjoys being outdoors – walking by the sea with her Border Terrier, Alba, tinkering in the garden, and exploring new places, especially those with good food and strong coffee.
