Prem is a Senior Physiotherapist at Cambridge, leading work to improve patient flow, discharge pathways, and integration between hospital and community services, with a focus on delivering safe, person-centred care.

Alongside this professional role, Prem brings lived experience of Birt-Hogg-Dubé (BHD) syndrome, a rare genetic respiratory condition diagnosed in 2018. This experience has shaped an understanding of the challenges faced by people with rare diseases, including delays in diagnosis, limited awareness, and navigating complex care pathways.

Prem is passionate about ensuring the patient voice is central to service design and decision-making. Through involvement with the panel, Prem aims to support the centre by sharing lived experience of BHD, raising awareness of rare respiratory conditions, and helping to highlight gaps and opportunities to improve care and equity for patients.
