Researcher
Roya is research fellow with over 15 years of experience in biomedical research, spanning cancer biology, metabolic disease, and respiratory pathology. Her work focuses on understanding molecular mechanisms of disease progression in conditions such as colorectal cancer, diabetes, and lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM), and translating these findings into potential therapeutic strategies. She has led and collaborated on multiple investigator-initiated studies and multidisciplinary grants, including MRC, CRUK, and the British Lung Foundation.
Her expertise includes alternative splicing regulation, tumor microenvironment signaling, and translational proteomics. She actively mentors PhD students and serve on several academic committees. Her goal is to continue contributing to molecular medicine with a strong translational impact.
