Philippa Thomas
Patient Group Representative

Philippa Thomas has the rare lung disease LAM. She sits on the Centre’s Patient Advisory Board. Her role is to work with other patients to reflect lived realities, help coordinate with patient groups, and bring her voice to decision-making about our Centre’s priorities.

Philippa is a professional communicator who spent three decades at BBC News as a political correspondent, foreign correspondent, and TV and radio presenter. She is currently an executive coach and trainer with a professional interest in the quality of governance and leadership. Philippa also happens to spend part of the year living life on the road in an expedition truck. Carpe diem.
