Erin Cant
LifeArc RRD post-doctoral researcher at the University of Dundee
Erin is the LifeArc RRD post-doctoral researcher at the University of Dundee. She has recently finished her PhD in the Respiratory Research Group in Dundee carrying out an in-depth bronchoscopy study on mucociliary function in bronchiectasis patients. She began her interest in cilia whilst carrying out her undergraduate honours project at the University of Dundee and has also carried out a Masters by Research investigating mucociliary function. Erin has extensive experience in high speed video microscopy to assess the function of cilia and in primary cell culture techniques to model the airway epithelium. She will be setting up the primary ciliary dyskinesia biobank and conducting deep phenotyping on the samples as part of the PCD Rare Respiratory Disease LifeArc study.
